    The only outstanding wins in his career are Kessler and Hopkins. The fact that you are using wins against the corpse of Roy Jones, way past his best Eubank and Sakio Bika to prove your point says it all really.

    Bute was universally regarded as the number 1/2 in the division, he'd also won and defended the IBF belt numerous times.

    Nobody regarded Bute as a hypejob until Froch beat him senseless.

    Lacy on the other hand, had beaten Vanderpool and the ghost of Robin Reid.

    Lacy was totally unproven, and had nothing except a left hook, yet he came into the ring as a MASSIVE favourite.

    That speaks volumes about what people really thought of Joes ability.

    Two posts now without the word HEARN in.

    The treatment is obviously working.

    I've seen some nonsensical posts but that one will take some beating. Nobody on earth of sane mind considered Bute number one in the world at the time. Are you aware that Bute needed a friendly referee to hold off Librado Andrade and got all but stopped anyway long before he ever came to England?

    Joe Calzaghe vs Jeff Lacy was pretty much even with the bookies, despite Lacy never looking anything like as vulnerable as Bute had. Froch was heavy odds against versus Bute not because Bute was a Romanian Gerald McClellan but because most people recognised then and do now that Joe Calzaghe had far more talent and ability than Carl Froch and would have humiliated him in a fight, including Froch himself.
