The Japanese Keita Kurihara "Slugger" 30 years old , boxer from Tokyo with 17 victories (15KO) for 8 defeats and 1 draw, wishes to take his revenge on the Filipino Froilan Saludar who had beaten him the first time by Technical KO in the 1st round in Tokyo in October 2023.
Froilan Saludar 34 years old "The Sniper" with 34 victories (24 KOs) for 7 defeats and a draw, he is one of the biggest punchers among bantamweights currently. For your information, he is the first to have knock down Takuma Inoue the actual WBA Regular Champion in Bantamweight division in his career (the brother of the Monster Naoya Inoue ).

Froilan Saludar actually the OPBF champion is ranked #8 by WBC (current champion Alexandro Santiago), and #16 by IBO (no champion actually).

Keita Kurihara former OPBF champion is actually ranked #37 by IBO in Bantamweight division and top #8 in Japan in Bantamweight.

The revenge of the japanese will happen in Cebu (Phillipines) in a main event the 26th january of 2024. The match is for the OPBF belt.

Very interesting fight : Keita Kurihara destroyed Kai Chiba's career making him hang up his gloves, and Froilan Saludar achieved the feat of manhandling Takuma Inoue. Both are really strong physically and have a good power.

The first fight (it was on Casimero vs Oguni undercard) :

I think if Keita loses again he will probably retire. Very interesting that his promoter is Masayuki Ito.

Why? Kurihara got destroyed in the first fight. There is no need for a rematch.

Because Keita Kurihara, taking his revenge against Kai Chiba, had beaten him very quickly and hard. He's thinking of doing the same feat again with Froilan, I suppose. But if he loses again I think Keita will hang up his gloves.
