Everybody with some sense knows that PBF proved nothing at 140 up he just picked up a few paper titles and beat a few overhyped scrubs and a few shot fighters,, still some people pick him h2h over fighters like srr, benitez, duran, leonard, odlh (prime), tito , hearns, pryor, hagler, pavlik etc etc

i think its fair to sat that floyd watered things down as he rose in weight, but you've got some god-awful examples to compare against him ??

Don't know how you rate Pavlik as an H2H fighter but I agree 100% that Floyd resume at 140 and above was the definition of cherry picking.

Why are you putting pavlik a middleweight in the discussion?

its fans like you that **** me off

Why dont you just say you dont like his personality instead? If you cant consent to his greatness in the ring and his amazing ring intelligence and naturalness he exhibits in the ring atleast then your opinion doesnt matter.

To say he's "overrated" at 140lbs, we would first have to know how he is rated.

    Why don't you tell us?

I think he will not go down as an ATG at those weights anyway. No one really needs to worry. He was a class act who could have beaten just about everyone at his weight at his time although he did deserve to lose the first Castillo fight so he was not untouchable. Point is he probably was a great at lightweight and super feather obviously he could have given some great fighters at 140 and 147 some real problems but no way would he beat a great fighter in those weights and he was just too small for 154.

i think floyd's resume before he fought gatti and got a sniff of some real money influenced his career choice after that.

floyd's abilities are supreme, and thats undeniable i think to anyone who's objective, but the poster makes some solid points after that.

he cherry picked at 140-147 but 135-130 floyd was a beast even if he did lose to castillo he beat the 2nd time but he was great at those weights

PBF's legacy was cemented for what he did at 130 and 135. Everything else was just icing on the cake making his legacy even greater.:deal

i agree that his legacy was cemented as being a great while he was a lightweight but in my opinion he hurt himself not even at 140 and the not the beginning of his tour of 147 but the hatton fight then retiring was kind of stupid on his part when he could of cleaned the division most likely he would of beatin cotto margarito i see him losing to williams but PW is a ***** who wont fight men his size thats another discussion

way over-rated is over the top, but he is not as great as he and roger tells us he is, especially at 140 -147! If he was a quiet, reserved guy we would not be having this discussion as we would all agree he is a supreme fighter who deserves the accolades of being the best fighter of his generation......
