They were printed in Ring Magazine. Whatever Delete repeated word your looking at ( show me please ) is wrong.

What is the name of this top ten table?

I suspect you may be confusing Ring Annual Ratings, with the actual monthly ratings when Vitali fought Chisora, Solis, and Johnson.

NO, you looked up ONE rating out of 12 total ratings in each calendar year from RING alone. And you didn't look at ANY actual sanctioning body ratings.

Hell, in their 1989 ratings, RING doesn't even list Mike Tyson as the heavyweight champion. They don't list Buster Douglas, either.

That's your go-to source? Are you now going to argue there was no heavyweight champion that year, because that one top 10 doesn't list one?

    Don't be stupid.

So show me where I can view the monthly ratings? Or am I just supposed to take your word for it? How do you know what the ratings were for a particular month going back 10 years?

Chisora never cracked the top 10 annual ranking in his whole career , but you're telling me he was top 10 just for the Vitali fight after coming off a loss?? I call nonsense on that.

Says RING. Not even Vitali himself was ranked top 10 in 1999.

    Using The Ring Rankings
    In1936 .Louis had 6 fights
Charley Retzlaff rated number 4 at the end of 1935
    Eddie Simms unranked
    Jorge Brescia
    Al Ettore number 9
    Jack Sharkey former champion
    Max Schmeling rated number 2.

3 ranked contenders in 6 fights

1937. He wins the title from Braddock
Defends against the number 2 contender Tommy Farr.
    One defence,against the no2 contender

    1938 .
Defends against Natie Mann number 3
    Defends against Harry Thomas unranked
Defends against Max Schmeling number 1 contender

3 defences 2 against ranked contenders

    1939.
Defends against Tony Galento Number 1 contender
Defends against Bob Pastor number 3 contender
2 defences both against ranked contenders
    1940
Defends against number one contender Arturo Godoy x 2
    Defends against unranked Al McCoy
    Defends against unranked Johnny Paychek.
4 defences 2 against the number 1 contender

Now,using Rings rankings, the following defences of his versions of titles by Vitali were against unranked fighters.

    Briggs
    Charr
    Solis
    Mahone
    Sullivan
    Williams
    Johnson
    Sosnowski
    Chisora
That is nine unranked by the Ring challengers, easily verified by looking at the Ring Ratings.

As to black challengers from 36-40

    We have 1936
Jack Trammel ranked number 4 at the end of the year , but he lost to Eddie Blunt in Jan1937 and lost his next 2 fights too in fact he only won 6 of the 11 fights he had that year.

Leroy Haynes was ranked no7 He had 5 fights and lost 3 of them.
1937 Only one black challenger was ranked ,Roscoe Toles at no9.
Should Louis have swerved no 2 Tommy Farr and fought Toles no9 instead?
    1938
Roscoe Toles is again the only black challenger top ten ranked at no8 Louis defended against the number 1 conteder Schmeling and the number 3 Mann plus a gimmee against Thomas, should he have fought Toles instead of Schmeling and Mann?

    1939
Our old friend Toles is the lone top ten black challenger at no9. Louis defends against the number 1 and number 3 contenders instead!
    1940
Louis defends against unranked Johnny Paychek
    Number 1 ranked Godoy twice
    Defends against unranked Al McCoy
I find no case to attack Louis with in his choice of challengers he might have defended against another black challenger but none of them were standouts , Louis fought all his top challengers and they were ranked higher than the black challengers at the time.Especially as Louis had kod Toles in 6 rds in1935!

As to your claim that Louis against black challengers would be big draws here are Louis's biggest gates.
    1.Conn 2 $625,916 1946
    2.Schmeling2 $349,228 1938
3.Walcott 2 $252,522 1948* Big gate because of the close first fight
    4.Baer M $240,833 1935
    5.Lou Nova $199,500 1941
    6.Conn1 $152,905 1941
    7.Marciano $ 132,736 1951
    8.Braddock $103,684 1937
    9.Mauriello $ 103,611 1946
    10.Farr $102,578 1937
The first Walcott title defence drew only $75,968 about half what Louis v Schmeling1 fight drew 9 years earlier!
The defence against John Henry Lewis made only $34,413 in contrast Louis v Carnera made $60,433,the Louis v Levinsky fight made $53.752, the Uzcudun fight $39,612 and Louis wasn't even champion for those 3 fights! The Charles fight only grossed $102,840! And that was in1949!

There were these things 10 years ago called Boxing Websites. They included ratings from all the orgs every month. There were also these things called sanctioning body websites. The actual organizations who put out ratings included their monthly ratings on their sites. There were also these things called Boxing Magazines. A magazine is a printed document (paper) that is bound and shipped to your home or was sold on something called a magazine rack. Those magazines also included ratings. Ring, in fact, was actually a "magazine" before it was a link.
