Well maybe the stamina but definelty not the strength. We don't know about the stamina though because he never went the full limit when he came out of prison except for the first Holyfield fight and he definetly didn't train hard for that one. The second, which we're discussing now, he trained real hard for that fight but the fight got stopped early so we don't know how good his stamina was.

this is true but i'm thinking stamina also for consisent, educated pressure even throughout a round. the post prison tyson rarely fought for the whole 3 minutes. from both holyfield fights the lack of combinations and pressure i feel is mostly due to poor stamina. even against opponents that frustrated him in his prime (tillis, smith) he fought the whole round

Ok, I see what you're saying. The fights he even won against Bruno and Seldon, he didn't really fight the whole 3 minutes as well, so your right. I thought looked average in the second bruno fight, even people at the time thought he was better, and I laughed because I knew they didn't know what they were talking about. He definetly wasn't the same, people were just impressed with the knockouts.

exactly. i agree that he kept some of the physical traits and if he had a proper trainer, could have been at 80% of the old tyson. but i just never see him being the animal of old. though he was VASTLY improved in the 2nd holy fight:good

7 at most. He had some head movement, won the 1st round, and was winning the third. Even if Holyfield didn't use frequent headbutts I still feel he would still win against Tyson. I hope Mike lives his life to the fullest and in peace :hat

Finally someone not being bias and nobody ever talks about it. They act like Tyson bit him for no reason.

Catching a few heads no way excuses Tyson biting Holyfields ear off!!! Holy was a dirty fighter but so was Tyson, it got rough and Tyson saw more of the same coming that he got in the first fight and "fouled out".

Tyson unfortunately was on a decline in this fight yes holyfield did get his butts in but like gaz said biting someones ear of in the real world u could end up with doing five years for GBH with intent.

I went with "7", though Jorodz made a good argument with "6". Tyson just wasn't the same guy he was when he was younger at all.

He actually bit a piece of his ear. People overexaggerate that incident too much.

He said he blacked out from the headbutts and rightfully so he has the right to speak his mind, regardless whether you agree or not what he says. Now me and you aren't in the ring at all but following thru with an elbow after throwing a punching is not the same as consistent clutching someone and using your head all the time. Now i'm not justifying what Tyson did but that can frustrate anybody. Hell, even hopkins didn't do all that when he fought Calzaghe.

And more of the same from the first, was non-exsistent in the second cause if that was the case than holyfield would of been counter punching him effectly and outboxing from the opening round the way he did in the first fight but he couldn't because of Tyson's upper body movement and better use of the jab. When Tyson was being consistent with Bodywork and Combos(in the third round) he was having his way with him, so your really reaching by what your saying.

yes it may be overexaggerated but it still was not right.
