Well, take it for what it is. Here are my thoughts on the fight being a fan of both guys.

I had Hopkins winning by two rounds, but I thought there were about five swing rounds for sure. It easily could have gone either way depending on what you look for. I actually would have been happier with a draw.

That being said, I first have to call out all the Calzaghe fans who should be ****ing ashamed of themselves running over this board like he wiped the floor with Hopkins. Are you kidding me? Joe scraped out a split-decision against a 43 year old fighter who forced him out of his usual game. Did you see team Calzaghe during the score reading? They looked like they were in deep meditation praying to the virgin mary.

Hopkins had some of his usual bull**** in there. The whole low-blow thing and then his mini-retaliation. And of course he can't throw a combination anymore to save his life. Freddie Roach could have been talking to a wall between rounds cause Hopkins just can't do **** anymore.

Still, remember how good Joe looked against Kessler and Lacy? Based on that, Hopkins made Joe fight his fight the whole way through.

But whatever. People know there's more money to be made with Calzaghe than with B-hop at this point.

It's also shameful that we have some fans and Emmanuel Steward for chrissake calling for Calzaghe-Jones Jr. Are you kidding me? Why don't we just let Joe loose in a planned retirement community and track his KOs. RJJ was demolished by the guy who Hopkins embarrassed without breaking a sweat.

If you think Joe clearly beat Hopkins then why on earth would you want to see him against RJJ? A RJJ fight makes sense only for a beaten Hopkins who has a history with. Plus they both qualify for the senior citizen bracket. If Calzaghe goes up against RJJ it will be flat out mismatch. I don't care how good RJJ looks against midwestern car salesmen and a world weary Trinidad it doesn't justify taking on Calzaghe.

It's also hilarious that Calzaghe called himself "the legend killer" in regard to winning over Hopkins and alluding to a possible matchup with RJJ. Gee, who else was a legend killer? Oh yeah, that's right, the guy who 1 already "killed" RJJ and 2 got wrecked by the same guy you just squeaked passed.

Calzaghe clearly won in my book. Hopkins should have had points deducted for holding and for acting:lol:
