    I agree.

For one, I think it's incredibly hard for a fighter to be as active as many guys in the top 10 were. Guys like Armstrong, who had 181 fights, Greb, who had 299 fights, or Robinson, who had 200 fights. A boxer today isn't going to get close to that. Pacquiao has currently had 59 fights and will likely retire after about 65. That's a lot by todays standards and yet it's three times less than Armstrong.

The average fighter nowadays will have around 40-50 fights, I think, which is considerably less than what most of the top 10 would have had. That's significant.

Aside from that, I do feel there's a sense of nostalgia about boxing and maybe it's warranted. Personally, I'd have no issues ranking Pacquiao #1 if I felt he deserved to be there but honestly, I can't see a lot of others doing the same. No matter what happens in the future, I can't ever see a heavyweight being ranked above Ali, even if he fights better opponents and ends up with a better record.

Guys like Armstrong, Greb, Leonard, Duran, Ali, Robinson, Langford etc. are not going anywhere.

As far as the number of fights, there is a solid argument for quality over quantity.

Marciano, Jones and Holmes don't belong anywhere near the top of any list. I think Cox is great but come on...

Had Holmes and Jones fought better opposition, I think they'd be there, yes. However, they didn't and a historian can't give a fighter a superficial standing because of his own personal opinion. If that was the case, Ricardo Lopez would be very high too.

That's true, yeah, but when you're talking about a guy like Pacquiao, he has quality but hasn't had that many fights. Most of the top 10 have fought similar or higher quality and yet faced far more fighters.

If a fighter can beat 10 HOF's in a 30 fight career, sure, rank him highly but I think it's unlikely.

Yeah, he also doesn't take the test... Go figure. :think

You know as well as anyone else, that the odds that Pac is juicing are very likely.... comsidering what pieces of **** Top Rank is and how many juicers the Wild Card Gym has housed.

You know he's likely on the juice...*******s know, to the point they make threads like, "If Roach didn't include Ariza in Pac's corner, the surely that proves Pac is clean....right???"

Well tbh Ali and Louis' resumes aren't in the hundreds either, nor Johnson, Leonard, or Whitaker who most have all inside the top 15

We all know Top Rank is dirty because all their fighters have tested positive:

    Peterson
    Berto
    Mayweather

    Oh wait.... :rofl

    Somewhere around the top 15.

Leonard is probably the perfect example of fitting in a brilliant resume inside a short space of time. That said, I think it hurts his ATG standing that he didn't have a longer career, even if it was padded with a few fighters who were never anything truly special.

He was lucky though because he fought in an era when Duran, Hearns, Hagler, Benitez, Pryor and a few more were all knocking out. Very few could have had such short and yet brilliant careers.

His operation was a success- he just ducked hagler for a few years, and cherrypicked him when ripe

Fact: Pacquiao walked away from the first negotiations because of OSDT.
Fact: Team Pacquiao came up with the most ridiculous, most inconsistant excuses why they walked away from negotiations.. e.g.:

    -Pac is afraid of needles
    -Blood test weakens Pac
-Pac needs more than 2 weeks to recover from a blood sample..
-Pac believes it is BAD LUCK to take blood sample.
    -NSAC testing is the best

True story brah... admit it :deal
