Awesome finish by Benavidez. Unleashed vicious combos to the head and dropped him. Dropped him earlier in the fight and hurt him with vicious uppercuts a few times too. I only saw bits of the fight but that was impressive.

Benevidez looks like the real deal but at only 20 might need another couple bouts to
firm up his resume. I'd like to see him work on his defence a bit; got buzzed a few times
    tonight unnecessarily.

Dang, Medina must have cement in his head.

Benevidez would win at this point.

He's still flying way under the radar for what he should be. I'm glad Tank Davis is getting hype, and if people like to see exceptional talent in a young fighter, they need to add this 20 year old phenom to their watchlist.

He's going to be the next big thing at 168. Mark my words.

The issue is Benavidez looked bad against Mama's boy. Now a win over Porky is clearly impressive since Porky gave Degale fits. I just need to see him consistently dominate, which is what Tank has been doing.

Benavidez is at his best when he's on the front foot attacking and getting full weight and leverage into his shots. When he allowed Douglin to pressure him back to the ropes he wasn't as effective, but when he forced him back and dug in his heavy hooks and uppercuts to head and body it was a completely different fight.

    Round 1 Medina 10-9

Bombs away from Porky, he comes out firing hooks to the body of Benavidez, ripping him to the ribs, David starts countering off the backfoot with hooks, Medina out worked him in an action packed round.

    Round 1 Medina 10-9
    Round 2 Medina 10-9

Porky working behind his jab, Benavidez parrying a lot of his attempts at one twos, Porky pins him on the ropes and goes to work, David doing his best Jose Benavidez impersonation shelling up and eating body shots, occasionally countering with hooks and uppercuts.
