Gonzalez is caught leaning straight back as Farmer shoots up the pinball launching lead left, retracting only halfway before reloading and firing it again. Gonzalez is pushing out jabs at mid-level but countered by 1-2s and sharp single lefts. Gonzalez is jabbing into the air, grabbing Farmer up close after missing the right hand over Farmer's shoulder.

Round 6

Gonzalez is setting the pace with a short jump in landing a right hook while keeping the left glove up to cover his face. Farmer rolls some punches on the inside, always keeping one glove by his face, countering Gonzalez with right jabs on the body and lefts up top. Gonzalez is walking straight forward, jabbing over the head of Farmer and looking to drop a heavy right hand on him. Farmer is spinning and sidestepping away, bouncing off the ropes, chin tucked and eyes turned up toward Gonzalez, always moving, countering in a steady flow with the right jab and poking Gonzalez atop the brow with left hands as he widens the circle. Farmer dances along the ropes, luring Gonzalez in and popping him with a 1-2 before switching direction and circling out further. Left hand by Farmer catches Gonzalez walking in. Gonzalez mows through it and ties up.

Gonzalez is dropping right hands into Farmer's guard, leaning down to lock horns with him, scrubbing with his arms, working short uppercuts. Farmer is stepping back and firing up sharp left hands as soon as there is enough separation. Farmer ducks and moves, keeping the right hook at the ready as Gonzalez closes in. Right uppercut from outside by Gonzalez. Flush 1-2 by Farmer. Gonzalez complains of a low blow, and the ref warns him not to push down on Farmer and indirectly cause those low blows. Time in. Left hand downstairs by Farmer. Gonzalez is lifting his left glove an inch off his waistband, half-feinting a jab but not pulling trigger, pausing and taking a deep breath as Farmer makes him follow the leader around the ring.

Gonzalez is jabbing down at Farmer, reaching from outside, leaving his chin dangling, caught with a right jab and left uppercut combo. Farmer is moving his feet and dipping to either side, drawing Gonzalez in and countering with left crosses hurtling in behind the flash jab. Catch and release, short clinches after every combo landed. Gonzalez misses a right hand over Farmer's back and is bucked away, Farmer drilling his forearms into Gonzalez's midsection to repel him.

Round 9

Gonzalez hits Farmer low, accidentally. Farmer takes a quick step outside and motions down at himself to make the ref aware, never taking his eyes off Gonzalez. Farmer is putting up line drive right jabs while leaned backward and to his left, scoring while staying underneath Gonzalez's jabs. Straight flurry by Gonzalez, grazing as Farmer sinks outside. Farmer slaps up with the right hook from his knee, throwing combinations when Gonzalez does and colliding arms enough to neutralize them even when not landing - although he is doing that as well. Farmer jumps in and out landing right hooks and left uppercuts as Gonzalez doubles over and partly turns his back on him by the ropes. Gonzalez chases Farmer into a corner with a limply flicked double right hand.
