But it was just a past prime version of Provo. The monster from the Bradley / Alvarado fights would destroy Molina.

It astounds me how well spoken Molina Jr is given the amount of punishment he's shipped in his career.

You mean the same one that Herrera beat? Provo isn't all that hard to outbox, Molina punches hard, and he realized his jab would be enough to keep him at bay. Stylistically, he could probably do the same to a healthy version of Provo, and remember, Molina has been shot for the last 5 years as well.

The key is when you get punched and you know you're going down. Throw your mouthpiece out with the punch. If timed perfectly you buy extra time. If timed wrong you get Dq'd or an extra point taken off.

Molina took one of the most brutal poundings in that one that I've seen in recent memory. Lucas is obviously an extremely hard puncher and Molina took a ridiculous amount of his bombs. That fight had to have taken a lot out of him. Guy's a warrior with a capital W.

Likewise with Guerrero on the mic.. I chimed in on this earlier with Travis Fulton and Bert Cooper. Some of these guys are just impacted by the punishment less than others, that much is clear. Crazy that some guys are ruined by a fight - or a round/moments within a fight, while others can get their brains bashed time and time again are seemingly fine.

Another win for Molina Jr. would be fun while it lasted though... I want to see these kind of guys only in these type of fights. As opposed to being fed to prospects, contenders and champions. As Gatti/Ward trilogy proved... These kind of kinds can be just as profitable if not more so.

Its 50/50 IMO, Rios is fairly heavy handed, and Molina's chin is showing signs of cracking, the winner of that match needs to take on The Vicious One.
