Rodriguez loses his gum shield. Back in. Diaz is pushing Rodriguez across the ring with his right jab, now used like a prod, guiding Rodriguez into the path of sharp left hands. Rodriguez is trying to hold and getting drilled with triple left hands on the nose, Diaz snapping his head back, following through with some forearm bone and elbow grinding into Rodriguez's face, worsening the outpouring from his nose. Rodriguez's offense is decreasing steadily.

Round 5

Long lead left by Diaz, slightly curved at the end, tagging Rodriguez on the chin. Rodriguez ducks in with his gloves masking his face and begins to hook into Diaz's body, standing in and smothering Diaz by staying in his chest with his chin tucked in. Diaz backs him off with a left uppercut, and shrugs him off when Rodriguez clamps back onto him. Diaz winds up a right hook but Rodriguez dives in and whacks the body. Left hook up by the ear from a crouch by Rodriguez, ignored by Diaz. BIG looping left by Diaz, backing Rodriguez up. Diaz grunts with the effort of throwing a big right upper-hook, missing as Rodriguez circles off the ropes.

Round 6

Rodriguez is getting double-jabbed in the face and backed into the ropes as Diaz plows into his stomach with the left hand descending at high velocity from up by Diaz's jaw. Rodriguez is hanging in there, undeterred, ducking and sliding in and throwing big hooks up top albeit caught routinely on the right arm of Diaz and light body shots that have no effect on Diaz but to clear a lane for his carefully selected counter head shots.

Round 7

Rodriguez is bowling in wide body shots and looking to pin Diaz's waist in between his gloves. Diaz is taking long steps back and lining up double jab and straight left combos or dropping the left on the body. Rodriguez is pushed onto the ropes as Diaz begins to open up with a long unanswered combination to head and body from medium-long range. Rodriguez is bending over and curling into a ball without punching as the ref steps in.

Charlo is jabbing down at De Los Santos, who tries leaning in low and shimmying around it to land his own left jab between the forearms on the chest of Charlo. De Los Santos is dipping left, shoulder lowered, slinking in with body jabs and backing out into a circular jog around Charlo when the counter jabs and 1-2s come at him. De Los Santos scrabbles in to clinch after throwing a right and left at the body.
