De Los Santos is putting up jabs and looking to bring the right hand around into Charlo's body while leaned forward. Fast snakelike double and triple jabs on the dreads by Charlo darting in and out of range. Charlo is turning his body when De Los Santos throws downstairs, letting the shots cascade off his sides. De Los Santos is staying cautious about jabbing the body from outside but is still having his head snapped back by counter jabs.

De Los Santos is knocked down moments after the opening bell while throwing at Charlo's body and taking a brushing right atop the head, with mostly the underside of Charlo's arm connecting but getting the job done. De Los Santos is up and circling, switching directions and showing Charlo different elevations but still getting found as Charlo sends those smart-bomb jabs out to explode on target, regularly homing in on De Los Santos' face. Charlo works some lengthy hooks off the jab. De Los Santos is hit by a right hand, left hook, right hand and knocked back into the ropes. De Los Santos ducks the next jab and takes it across the upper crest of the head. De Los Santos tries moving in to clinch and now takes a jab square on the face. Charlo falls short with a 1-2 as De Los Santos sits back and circles wider out. Clinch.

Charlo is jabbing and recoiling just as quickly stepping forward. Right hand up top by De Los Santos, slipped as Charlo swivels and counters with a left hook that just barely misses. 1-2 by Charlo, drawing De Los Santos in for a diving clinch attempt. Charlo clubs down at the back of his head with another 1-2. De Los Santos leaps into a jab and is hurt. De Los Santos tries holding. De Los Santos is dropped by a big overhand right while sitting low with his butt by his heels. He is up but Charlo is on him, scoring from distance on the way in with that sharp left jab. De Los Santos is wobbled by a jab and his knees buckle. De Los Santos is jabbed in the face and takes a 1-2 across the coiffure while bending forward. De Los Santos hops around the ring on his toes, nearly knocked off balance several times by jabs.

Round 5

Charlo is jabbing between De Los Santos' glove. De Los Santos leaps back to dodge a 1-2. Charlo steps in and jabs De Los Santos on the nose. Right to the body by Charlo. De Los Santos circles left and ducks low. De Los Santos is dropped by a BIG chopping right and it's over.

I want to see the Watson twins in a tag-team fight with the Charlo twins.

Meh. It's an OK card.

The unbeaten prospects match-up is actually quite a bit more significant than the washed-up contenders match-up, IMO.
