Lopez is landing jabs on the body and rights across the shoulder blade before getting smothered by the pouncing Cobos. All of Cobos' offense is coming in the form of stunted body shots with his arms pinned under or pinning Lopez's. When there is separation, Lopez is repeatedly trying his looping right on the backfoot to knock Cobos for a loop and landing behind his temple flush but not able to put him down or stave off his leaps inside to clinch.

Round 5

Lopez is landing the jab and nothing else before Cobos jumps in with hooks into either side of the rib cage. Lopez is wincing and draping his arms over Cobos' back. Repeated jumps inside to hook the body by Cobos, always answered with tie-ups or lashing rights across the spine from Lopez (with the whip-tail of his fist usually cracking just above Cobos' buttocks)

In the 5th it was definitely Josesito initiating the clinches.

He doesn't like the bodyshots.

 

Round 6

Lopez is circling away, tossing a long uppercut and then fork-lifting Cobos with his gloves driven straight in through Cobos' armpits. Lopez is circling away, letting the double jab and right cross go while stepping into Cobos before resuming his outside track. Cobos is bowling in body shots but Lopez is turning him and landing his longer, stiffer body shots.

10-9 Lopez, close but Cobos just not quite busy enough (or capable enough of cutting the ring off)

Round 7

Lopez is throwing long jabs at the body and looking to swivel into a left hook as Cobos moves in with his low crouch throwing roundhouses at the body. The hook is just missing over Cobos' head or resulting in Lopez's elbow wrapping around it. Looping right and left hook combo put together at mid-range by Lopez after shaking free of a clinch resulting from both men throwing body punches and stepping in at the same time. 1-2 by Lopez stepping back. Cobos lurches atop him and they clinch. Jab by Lopez circling out by the ropes.

Round 8

Lopez is circling away, jabbing and tossing long daggers at the body. Cobos is diving in headfirst, getting under the plane of Lopez's jab, and hitting the body with flying right hands on the way in and left & right hooks once up close. Lopez is clinching immediately when Cobos gets inside after taking a couple of body shots. Cobos is not fighting when grabbed, waiting for Tony Weeks to call for breaks and starting over with the heavy body attack.
