Sloppy 8th round by Lopez. Not landing anything of consequence, holding, but just winning the round by staying busier

Josesito is showing decent form if he wants to compete on Dancing with the Stars, his Viennese Waltz needs some improvement

A shutout is actually fine. You can't have given Cobos any more rounds than I did. Maybe one more (the sixth)

    Clear win for Lopez.

    ...but, a raggedy one. :!:

He keeps himself in the W column but his stock in the eyes of anyone that saw this probably dips a little. One of those type fights.

    Round 1

Spence is brushing the hairline of Bolanos with right jabs and left crosses, easily controlling distance and throwing crisp straight punches with perfectly judged extension. Bolanos is backing away, pawing with the jab. Spence catches him turning with a right hook. Spence parries away Bolanos' jabbing hand and lands a body shot.

    10-9 Spence

Tony Weeks and Robert Byrd they got the big guns, they must've spent more on the refs than tonight's opponents.

So, Rafael Cobos was 15-4-5 heading in tonight - with three of the losses and two of the draws coming against tomato cans. (fourth loss was to a former WBC interim champ...down at super feather :!:)

Josesito made him look more like a fringe contender. :-(

    Round 2

Spence is landing hard body shots from outside and leaning back with his head down as Bolanos dares to roll up an overhand right. Bolanos shies away, gloves up and turned outward. Spence is using quick feet, materializing in front of Bolanos and fading away deceptively. Quick double right jabs up top by Spence, and left uppercuts and right hooks on the body, hurting Bolanos. Long up-jab by Bolanos, countered with a left uppercut that snaps his head back. More body shots by Spence. Overhand right by Bolanos, grazing and holding Spence off just at the bell.

    10-9 Spence

    20-18 Spence
