Quijano is a live dog though, can't take much away from him. He came to win tonight. Appreciate seeing that.. compared to Perez in the 1st fight.. who came to not get laid out.

    Round 1

Perez is throwing crisp left jabs from high on his left cheek and occasionally from a suspended roam out a few inches from his shoulder. Romero is keeping both fists tucked under his mouth like a squirrel nibbling a nut, reaching up, across, and down with a rubbing jab. Romero is very straight-up in his posture, narrow and tight, lots of nervous energy though he isn't wasting a lot of movement.

10-9 Perez on the strength of the cleaner jab, not a lot happening in the opener.

I missed Sosa vs. Perez - or rather, missed absolutely nothing, from the sound of it?

    Round 2

Perez is reeling his left glove up his torso from down by his cup, forking it out in sharp double jabs when it hits shoulder level, stance dialed away from Romero so he is basically crab-jabbing at him. Perez is waiting and slowly moving inside as Romero shakes a few jab feints at him, then moving in and jabbing with confidence into Romero's chest. 1-1-2 by Perez backing Romero briefly onto the ropes. Romero scampers out and circles left, throwing jabs. Perez jabs his way in until caught and spun in a clinch.

    10-9 Perez

    20-18 Perez

Yeah, apparently Jayson Velez vs. Miguel Soto won't even be part of the broadcast despite being the co-feature at the venue. :conf

edit: the result is on Boxrec. I won't spoil just in case this one ends inside schedule and they do show it.

    Round 3

Perez is jabbing into Romero's face, keeping his arm slightly raised and separated from his body during periods of inertia. Perez is taking more chances now, falling in with quick overhand rights behind the jab, using his momentum to reduce the expenditure required to reach his target. Romero is cautious to a fault with his counters, a bit overwhelmed by Perez's speed and unable to get off more than an errant jab backing up.

    10-9 Perez

    30-27 Perez
