Zuniga shoves Perez into the corner and lobs in several hard underhanded body shots. Jab and triple hook by Perez backing up. Perez sweeps a few hooks into Zuniga's ears while circling away. Zuniga keeps walking Perez down and grabbing with one arm to hit the body with the other. Left hooks to the body and right hands across the back of the neck by Perez to discourage Zuniga from submerging on him. Perez ties up when Zuniga loads up on uppercuts to the body.

Perez is caught by a right hand while dancing around Zuniga. Perez is tying up at opportune times but not throwing much back. Big left hook leads walking in by Zuniga, hitting Perez on the hip and side of the head. Perez is pawing the jab as he flees to the ropes and then holding when Zuniga walks him down and claps at the body. Overhand rights by Perez, sliding over Zuniga's back as he dives in. The ref warns them both to watch their heads. Left hook grazing by Zuniga as Perez pushes out of a clinch following an incidental headbutt. Zuniga chases Perez into the ropes and then back to center ring when he bounces off them with lunging straights.

Indeed. Zuniga may be no Figueroa, and boasts a mere 50% stoppage rate, but he is obviously dealing more damage and demanding more respect with his power than Perez is with his. :think

Perez is jabbing at Zuniga's face and shoeshining at his head as Zuniga puts on the earmuffs and drives him into a corner. Perez is backed up and clipped with a left and right while pumping out his jab, still carrying the left hand low. Perez is leaning in, head to head, like rams locking horns, both hooking the body with lots of effort to extend as their feet are pushed out far apart so they form a human triangle with their skulls pressed together. Big hooking combo by Perez, hurting Zuniga but getting caught with Zuniga's own heavy left hook. Combination by
Perez at the bell, knocking Zuniga briefly into the ropes.
