    Round 6

Ali is jabbing at Krupp as he drops into knee bends and turns his face, taking the edge off Ali's jab but not fully slipping it. Krupp is looking to explode with left and right counters after getting walked to the ropes but can't touch Ali. Krupp is missing wildly with the right hand. Ali jabs into Krupp's head and drops the right hand on the body. Double jab by Krupp edging in and loading up a right, head snapped back by Ali's jab.

    10-9 Ali

    58-54 Ali

    Round 7

Ali is throwing straight combinations at Krupp's head from outside, having to chase after it while Krupp bobs and weaves and swivels. Krupp is still just a beat off with his counters, looping them a bit as he comes up from a crouch to snap the trap on Ali. Quick lean-away moves by Ali, making Krupp miss, showboating a bit and peppering in counter jabs from outside.

    10-9 Ali

    68- 63 Ali

Oh yeah, during the heyday of thrash at their peak they were p4p kings...but in terms of prolific consistency I think you have to give it to Phil & the boys for cranking out an epic # of memorable hard rockers...even if no single record of theirs stacks up to any of Metallica's earliest. (though it's apples to oranges as they weren't really even in the same genre)

    Round 8

Ali is moving to his left and catching Krupp's shots on his right mitt or forearm, dropping the latter like a drawbridge. Krupp keeps going for it, leading with wide left hooks and flapping the right hand in haplessly up top. Ali eludes and counters with the jab. 1-2 by Ali. Krupp is emboldened and rushes in to push Ali onto the ropes, even as several hooks slap into the sides of his head. Ali loads up a counter right and digs his feet in to loose it. Krupp down. Moments remaining. He is eager to mix it up again. Ali flashes combos at him but can't get rid of the determined Krupp.

    10-8 Ali

    78-71 Ali

For a card with zero knockouts (on the portion that was televised) it was pretty damn good. :good

Great fight! I like Ali. He's a pretty exciting fighter. I thought he made a few mistakes but the guy he was fighting was tricky and was trying to swing for the fences. I could see him doing well in the future.

I'd say three great ones (Ride, Master, and Justice) and two good ones (Kill 'Em All and the Black Album). Thin Lizzy has similar quality over a short period of time...But, in fairness, who knows if they could have maintained their quality had Phil lived and the band stayed together.

    Good card tonight, btw.

    Pretty much.

Kill em All was much more raw, but the 4 Horsemen is EPIC!

I still have a guitar mag from the early 80's where a author was doing album reviews, and he gave Kill Em All 1 star and went on to say the vocal sounded like dogs barking and the guitars like rusted chainsaws.....went on to say "I'd stake my entire reputation that this band will never go anywhere" :!:
