Juarez is jabbing up aggressively, landing on the nose of Alvarado in singles but never following up, either standing pat at mid-range or backing away to reset. Alvarado walks him onto the ropes with 1-2s. Clinch. Body slaps underneath the elbows by Alvarado. Jabs on the side of the head by Alvarado, eating a counter left jab but tapping Juarez on the opposite ear with a right hand.

Juarez is hooking into the body with his left and then looping the right on the other side when Alvarado grabs his arm. Lazy jabs from outside by Alvarado, looking to drop a right hand on Juarez and pull him into a hug. Juarez is sliding inside with big ice-pick left hooks. Alvarado is blocking and scooting back, popping 1-2s into the guard and forehead of Juarez. Long hooks by Alvarado, nicking Juarez's temples. Flush uppercut combo by Alvarado leaning in. 1-2s unanswered in succession on the outside by Alvarado, bouncing his fists off Juarez's mouth.

Juarez is throwing left dipper hooks on the body and walking Alvarado down, ignoring the jabs threading in between his gloves. Stiff jab on the nose by Juarez. Continuous body work by Juarez. Alvarado is caught by a short overhand right trying to clinch. Double chopping right on the cheek by Juarez while holding Alvarado's neck in place with his left. Big right by Alvarado pushing away. 1-2 by Alvarado. Juarez comes tanking in with a high guard and Alvarado loads up a left hook on him. Juarez gets inside without jabbing, front door open, no counters from Alvarado, and chops up top with a right. Flurry of uppercuts by Alvarado, lurching forward off balance and missing as Juarez backs out.
