Round 1

Santiago is moving to his left and letting Ortiz walk into his wheelhouse, sticking high quick light jabs and hissing as he delivers torpedo rights downstairs. Ortiz just keeps walking in with his elbows pinned together forming a V with his fists out winging his eye sockets, leaving a narrow gap over his nose between his thumbs, intent on screening out Santiago's body shots more than anything. Pressure but no punching from Ortiz. Lots of movement by Santiago, easily having it his way.

10-9 Santiago

 

Round 2

Santiago is leaning in and leveraging his shoulder into Ortiz, stopping his advance. Lots of clinching and gridlock, absent much in the way of effective infighting. They separate and Santiago throws combos while circling laterally. Ortiz just plows in, arms up, poking with a few body jabs. Telegraphed body shots from outside by Ortiz, missing badly. They lock horns a few more times and grind to a standstill.

Round 3

Santiago is drawing Ortiz in, teetering side to side to slip the long jab. Ortiz refuses to get too close, wary of counter flurries. Long 1-2 by Santiago. Ortiz keeps shuffling in and then hitting the brakes. Left hook dashing in by Santiago. Ortiz raises his bent forearms over his face as Santiago begins a combo, and Santiago is able to bury a left hook on the body underneath the elbow. Right hand by Santiago at the bell.

Both just...uninspiring.

 

Round 4

Santiago is posting up on either side and whipping body combos in on the compliantly stationary Ortiz. Lots of stiff-arming by Ortiz, pushing into Santiago attempting to corral him on the ropes. Santiago wriggles loose and pops straight right hand leads from the hip on the outside. Ortiz clubs his way in close and mauls, and connects a right hand on the back of the head. Uppercut by Santiago.
