....I need proof Vasquez is mexican cause I don't believe it, the way he looks is suspect but he talks like a average white guy too

    Round 1

López is pushing out his left jab, drawing a line in the sand and fortifying his ground on the Corona logo. Vasquez watches, poised on the outside, shooting his right jab into López's glove. Quick left hand lead by Vasquez. López is turning, facing up to Vasquez and continuing to pump his jab steadily into the air. Vasquez is moving like quicksilver, using directional changes every few steps, placing quick southpaw jabs and left hand leads and marking up López's face. Vasquez is doubling a jab as he fades to his right and looks to drop in the left cross but is backed up by a short right hand from López, skipping backward to ease its sting. Jabs high and low by Vasquez.

    10-9 Vasquez

SVJ is a very composed and disciplined southpaw counter-puncher, but is he truly ready to contend within a year as the commentators were saying? :think

I mean, this is welterweight...not exactly a division where being just "kinda pretty good" cuts it..

    Round 2

López is changing it up now, still pumping the jab out but occasionally hooking off it or following with a lunging right hand at the head. Vasquez is dodging artfully, even at point blank, prodding into López's face with the right jab and timing counters lefts while turning him: uppercuts on the body and jolting straights on the grill.

    10-9 Vasquez

    20-18 Vasquez

That was clearly a knockdown from that body shot. :bart A grazing flash knockdown maybe, but still.

Miniature Arreola throwing a lot of inefficient bombs. Vasquez too comfortable.

Sammy is the only Mexican who's a skinny dead ringer for George Groves.

    Round 3

López is leading with his left jab, fencing with Vasquez as the southpaw holds out his right glove and twirls López's jab away. Counter left uppers on the body from Vasquez - and one drops López as he is stepping back, caught on the floating rib and wincing, losing his footing! Ruled a slip, though. Vasquez continues to work on the move. Vasquez throws a double right upper-hook while leaping to his right, sets his feet and lands a left uppercut on the body.

    10-9 Vasquez

    30-27 Vasquez

Piston López isn't as unskilled as Cristobal. :nono

He actually has a jab (Vasquez is just too quick & ring-aware for him to land it)

He does look more believably English than Mexican.
