    Round 4

Vasquez is letting combinations go now, comfortably slowing his circular movement and focusing more of his energy on his punches. López pushes in and latches his arm with under-hooks and carries him into the ropes, smothering and slapping in a few body shots. Vasquez explodes off the ropes with a right hook downstairs and left uppercut. Big salvo by Vasquez, jacking López's head around.

    10-9 Vasquez

    40-36 Vasquez

Claudia Trejos says the doctor is concerned and having a hard look @ López in the corner between rounds...

    Round 5

López stumbles forth to meet Vasquez and is caught by a left uppercut and staggered! Right hook, left uppercut! López goes down from accumulation of hard blows. He beats the count, barely - while Vasquez is already celebreating believing it was over. The ref gets Vasquez's attention. Time in. López nosedives in desperately with a right hand on the body. Vasquez unloads one more combo, doubling López over with a left uppercut and then cuffing him across the head with a right hook sending him face-first onto the canvas. That's it.

    TKO5!!

I wonder how Sammy'd perform vs Van Heerden. Judging from his resume, that's the level of opposition he'll go for next.

Very impressive performance, and nice result on paper to boot.

López is a solid and sturdy guy (and holds a W over Jorge Paez Jr.)
