    Round 2

Derevyanchenko is continuing to jab high, making Guy watch the birdie and obstruct his own vision by pinching his fists together over his eyes protectively, then piercing between Guy's elbows with a right hand on the belly. Derevyanchenko working patiently from mid-range, but picking up the pace a bit. Derevyanchenko opens up with a combination, lunging somewhat, and Guy is able to step laterally and land a counter 1-2 on the chin. Derevyanchenko unphased. More jabs by Derevyanchenko, controlling distance and pace.

    10-9 Derevyanchenko

    20-18 Derevyanchenko

    Round 3

Derevyanchenko is pushing Guy's thumbs against his earlobes with the stiff jab, then crouching partway in, shoulders pitched toward Guy, and tilting leftward to set up big hooks on the body. Derevyanchenko starting to really dig in, doubling up on the hooks, making Guy flee more rapidly with a sense of urgency. Guy answers with some body uppercuts of his own. Derevyanchenko allows him to land another pair of pinball-paddles on his sides, and Guy finds some confidence, stepping in with a clubbing right and making the mark. Derevyanchenko answers with a heavy body hook.

    10-9 Derevyanchenko

    30-27 Derevyanchenko

This should be easy work. Derevyanchenko is letting it become moderately easy work instead, which given the perceived class disparity and the circumstances makes this a disappointing performance.

Nothing you can say can take him away from thumping on Derevyanchenko's hide right now!

    Round 4

Derevyanchenko is throwing combos of 3-4 into the guard while circling left, cutting the distance subtly with each pass so that he is actually spiraling in on Guy. Adjustments in footwork by Guy, seeing what Derevyanchenko is doing, not letting him get close, all the while holding up a turtle shell and then rushing in with scooping left and right upper-hooks on the body to drive off Derevyanchenko every time Guy is forced near the ropes.

    10-9 Derevyanchenko

    40-36 Derevyanchenko

Khytrov struggling with Brinson is way less embarrassing than Sergiy struggling with Mike Guy.

Boy Berto likes saying Mike Guy doesn't he?

    Round 5

Derevyanchenko is looping rights into the body. Guy is countering less and eluding more. A few slashing left hooks by Guy, doubled as he backs away. Derevyanchenko is chasing with combos, mostly on the body, loudly thwacking Guy's arms or flanks. Guy breathing heavily, but still flapping hooks at Derevyanchenko when he violates his space, while skittering away.

    10-9 Derevyanchenko

    50-45 Derevyanchenko

Playing chess keeps you a step ahead of your opponent? :huh

I mean, practicing your strategic acuity to keep your mind limber is a probable boon - at least peripherally - to one's ring IQ - but to claim a direct correlation? That's like saying "I only masturbate to Asian porn, which is why I'm boss @ video games manufactured in Japan. 8)"

Sergiy/Sergey/Siarhei/Sergei - all interchangeable, equally acceptable (and equally common, roughly) transliterations for most EE fighters. :good

^ same goes for Stieglitz, Fedchenko, Liakhovich. I've seen all of the above spellings of their first name.
