    Sergiy picks up where he left off, unloads lands a series of punches, he's staggered, he clips him with an overhand right, Tureano crumples to the mat, the ref mercifully waves it off.

    Now THAT was impressive. Very difficult style for Derevyanchenko to handle, but he did well tonight, probably dropped 1 or 2 rounds (very max) but took control throughout the fight and a KO to catapult him into an IBF title shot!

    Finally. That corner ruined his career and maybe his life. Sergiy is good, I don't know how he's going to do against young guys though. He spent too many years in ABA. Johnson was a spent bullet from the opening round.

    Finally.

    That's the end of Tureano Johnson we've witnessed, guys.

    I only hope he's OK.

    He was a solid guy, worthy of challenging the best even if he wasn't quite good enough to beat them.

    Good performance from Derevyanchenko, in control all the way and was a class above. Only downside is he took quite a bit of punishment himself.

    That was a hell of a finish and a hell of a performance from Derevyenchenko. Johnson was hyper inspired tonight, and brought the type of pressure that could convince a lot of guys to fold; but Sergiy stayed composed and eventually managed to pick his foe apart.

    So much for the Technician being too methodical. :lol:

    Let's properly assess this by comparing and contrasting.

    Stevens LOST every round to Johnson, then landed one hard shot and flurried to score a dubious last round stoppage.

    Derevyanchenko WON every round against Johnson, had him out on his feet several times throughout the match, dropped him hard to score a legit last round stoppage.

    Derevyanchenko is a beast.:deal:
