Was half tempted to switch to Johnson, because Sergei can be kind of methodical and I get the feeling that he can be outworked at higher levels. But my head says this ain't that level, and I\ll stick with it.

 

I like it when they give former boxers a shot at commentating but some of these guys need to take speech and communication courses. Guerrero sounds lost in thoughts and uncomfortable.

 

Johnson's only going to make this fun. This will be all Derevyanchenko.

 

He might still be a little punchy from that beating he took from Figueroa, everytime I've ever heard him commentate I have thought he has done a quality job. Keep in mind though this is a PBC production so he might just sound like a talented commentator in a production where everything else about it is second rate.

Like I said, I don't think this is the level where Sergei's calculating approach proves to be his undoing. At higher levels, perhaps. But, I too would be surprised if he loses his undefeated record this evening.

 

Immediately following this broadcast I will be screening Ola Afolabi vs Marco Huck 1, good stuff.

 

Could be the crappy production. People yapping into his ear piece, telling him stuff as he is trying to commentate.
