They're in that average Barrera/Oosthuizen/Karpency tier, more or less.

    Agree.

What's your take on Barrera vs Lepikhin, I think Lepikhin has a chance here, Chilemba may have just been a bad style for him.

So you don't think LHW potentially has lots of depth to it with all those guys considered?

No. Four potential/probable elites, and then a bunch of average.

Take away Kovalev and the other three EE guys with the more sparkling amateur pedigrees, and LHW is pretty close to dead.

Yeah but isn't that pretty much every division? 4-5 potential Elite level guys in one division (and I mean truly elite p4p talent, not just divisional) is pretty good.

And then the remaining guys are also decent enough to make the division potentially very exciting IMO.

Of course boxing politics will most likely **** it up and get in the way of it.

They're really not. Chilemba would school most of the names in the division and the Colombian Alvarez is a lot better than you're giving him credit for too.

All relative. I like Storm Alvarez plenty but his ceiling is much lower than Kovalev/Beterbiev*/Gvozdyk*/Mekhontsev* tier.

    * - projected. Kovalev is the only proven quantity in the pros.

Chilemba is being vastly overrated because of the Lepikhin and Vlasov performances.

Nope. The quality from the 5 spot down down to about 15 is generally a bit higher in "strong" divisions, or those you'd say have true depth.

If Chavez rates 6 or 7, your division isn't that good.

I'm not sure if Chavez can make 6-7, I honestly can see guys like Karpency (who truly is average) beating him.
