Sorry to upset you sir, but Pavlik is the best fight on Zuniga's resume so far. Also one of his most admirable efforts. Not to mention it came about because a lot have not seen much of Zuniga or Mundine. So to try to illustrate how good Zuniga is, we're talkin about how well he did against the Undefeated MW Champ. Not so crazy if you think about it.
Yep its seven degrees of Kelly Pavlik, its an unwritten rule among Pavheads, if a fighter that fought another fighter that fought Kelly Pavlik, you must mention Pavlik. Sorry its a rule, and I am a good sumaritan
Keep it down low if you don't care and PM me with your score at the time of the stoppage. Would like to compare what you have with what I had.
mundine would outbox zuniga IMO. mundine`s feet and handspeed would leave zuniga off balance all fight and mundine will box conservativley in and out , making zuniga frustrated and not be able to get much going on the way of offense. i doubt mundine would stand in front of zuniga at any point in the fight , but for those that have not seen mundine , and i suspect there are many reading the thread, he is far more talented fighter than zuniga and it would require the proverbial lucky punch for zuniga to win. mundine is a very good skilled fighter, his biggest drawback in some of his biggest fights is that he refuses to take enough chances ,zuniga`s only chance IMO to win this fight would be to hurt mundine early, to get into the fragile mundine mindset and make mundine think about defense only. but i beleive zuniga to be an ideal type of fighter for mundine to showcase , and that mundine would win , to fast/to slick/to skillfull / for zuniga type fighter. but of course time for mundine to put his body where his mouth is to prove that point.
I really don't know much about him other than he feels he can't compete at SMW and is fleeing to MW now that Taylor, Miranda and soon Pavlik will be moving up. Can he make weight and have enough left to compete at MW?
Dude Do you ONLY predict fights this way? Do you NOT think it through? atsch Don't you think if that were the case, Echols, Kessler and Green would've starched him too? For **** sakes.
Re Ottke-It was only Mundines 11th fight and he had been pro (no am) for under 2 years. He is a much different fighter now. Mundine by UD.
No, this is part hyperbole for fun - but based in reality. Punch resistance IS a very important attribute in boxing, and when a guy gets starched by somebody with only six KOs in 40+ fights, that's a seriously shaky chin. And Zuniga has the power to exploit those suspect whiskers. So while I ham it up a bit - yeah, I think there's a good shot Mundine gets KTFO. It's not like it hasn't happened before against lesser-hitting fighters!
