Full details on Briggs' condition / corner, ref should've pulled him out

Every one of us watching the fight was calling for the fight to be stopped at one point or another. How the ref/his corner/the doctor apparently never noticed he was taking a potentially life-altering beating is incredible.

I've been critical of Briggs in the past but, if anything, he was far too brave for his own good. Even if this all ends well and Shannon hasn't suffered any permanent damage, the referee, his corner and the doctor should be called upon to account for their actions, or lack thereof.

It should have been stopped, and Briggs's health should have been the priority. Another TKO win for VK is what it really was, regardless of what actually went down.

 

I heard them mention stopping it and when Briggs continued to ship punches I expected to see the towel come in.The ref did have chances to stop it and I thought at one point he had but it was just the end of the round.
Its a shame when things like this happen,we just have to hope Briggs comes through ok.

 

Briggs' corner team was one of the most ill disciplined and idiotic I've ever seen, They didn't even put his stool down in between one of the rounds!

And did anyone else notice one of Briggs' crew came into the ring to lift his arm in victory at the end of the fight only for briggs to pull away. Unbelievable.

The ref should have stopped it after 8 and I think that was intention but the bell rang to signal the end of the round and he let it continue.

 

Those last two rounds were criminal...after what happened in the 10th. Briggs may have been seriously damaged...nobody can justify the punishment his brain and cranium took in tihis fight. I just saw the last two rounds on You Tube...the referee should have stopped the fight.

 

How about putting a little blame on Vitali? He selected a guy to fight who was not even proven to able to beat a contender. Briggs had been beaten 23 of 24 Championship rounds by much lesser champs, years before. He had not even gotten any rounds in vs the bums he was knocking out.

The Klits are pissing me off. Beat down an old man with no business being in the ring. Now Wlad is going to beat down a young kid with no business being in the ring. Money is a big issue but come the F on.....up the offers to the real challengers you cheap bitches. I am sick of this horse ****.

None of the contenders want to fight eachother because the Klits have lowered the bar so far when it comes to picking challengers.

Vitali, Wladimir...up the money offers, drop the god damn crap clauses and make the f'n fights. K2 is the cheapest bunch of pricks ever.
