I need one of these as I was not allowed to go to work today with my face so badly swolen and bruised from sparring this week. The sparring was supervised and not over the top but sometimes the odd hard one that causes damages can't be helped. I don't like the usual full face headguards with the flimsy cheek and chin protectors as they don't help much and restrict your vision. The only one which seems to fit the bill is the Everlast Facesaver here for 75 quid http://sugarrays.co.uk/shop/everlast-facesaver-headgear.html
Reyes do one which looks good also but that is 130. I am aware that this will be bigger, heavier and lead to me getting caught more but better than black eyes and broken noses. Anyone used one?

I've got the Reyes one. Its definately the best I've used.

Its very snug and isn't that big. Perfect if not expensive.

Can't really comment as I've not used one before.

The picture doesn't show the back and sides so I don't know how adjustable it is.

Save up and go for the Reyes one. Its a long term investment. Its very well made.

Nylon or steel bar version of the Reyes? There is a difference in shape, maybe I would have to try one on but there isn't anywhere that local. It says the steel bar version can be moulded one time unlike with the nylon bar, what does this mean? Also that the steel bar version is more suited to angluar faces, It doesn't look like it would protect my nose as well as the nylon version which looks the same but more expensive as the Everlast Facesaver.
