Fulton claimed he was "double-crossed" against Dempsey

    I can't say I want to get too involved in the discussion but are you all agreed that Fulton and Darcy did actually spar together ?

    yes, its pretty hard to dispute, and klompton did his best. there is a long list of people at the time all said it happened. klompton went so far as to call them all liars. he now says he never said it didnt happen.......klompton may be a politician in his real life...

    Well, all I know is that I've read at least two newspaper reports from early 1917 that say something along the lines, "Darcy will box a few rounds with Fred Fulton tomorrow".
    Plus all these tales of how Darcy got the better of him, coming out years later. True or not, I think at the very least it is highly likely that the sparring session took place.

    We are all in agreement there,.... People thought Homer was lying about Troy,.... but we know that there was a basis for Homers story now,... every story has a beginning,.... BTW there is no doubt that Darcy was a greater fighter than Fulton.
