he wasn't, it's widely known Dawson was a wreck going into the Ward fight, only the most die-hard Ward fanatics can dispute it

however, he wanted it at 168, so it was a poor decision by Chad and his people

all in all, the win should be a great one for Ward, but it's tainted top to bottom

Prince screwed Dawson big time in that deal. Big time.

Chad saying 168 on TV isn't binding. Dumb, but not binding..by the time official negotiations came, Prince not only gave in to 168, but he also gave Ward home field advantage in Oakland and 70% of the purse.

I've never seen a lineal champion coming off a win over a first ballot HOF'er take a deal so bad.

Surely, the man working for Ward must've been a hell of a negotiator. Or, it was just James Prince on both sides of the table. Your pick.

isn't "razor close robbery" an oxymoron?

here it is. Not even remotely a robbery, Ward closed strong to win it.

Ward is too smart and too skilled to be beat at the moment. Almost every Ward opponent has looked like a drained zombie inside that squared circle. I have no doubt that he will fight Kovalev once he gets accustomed to the weight.
