Would prefer to see this than Tim V Charlo, thoughts? iMO Fundora would be lucky to reach round 3 without getting his head detached from his shoulders, thoughts? Tim won’t back up.
Might be an interesting fight. Both fighters have some glaring flaws. There has been nothing from Tszyu so far in his career that would make me think he gets Fundora out of there early.
Yeah.....nah. When Timmy goes Undisputed, he will have to face Beanstalk in order to defend the WBC title but anyone who willingly puts their guy in with a 6'5 southpaw pressure fighter has got rocks in their head. Charlo first & if he's not ready by July, someone live to stay sharp but a BIG NO to that opponent being Beanstalk.
Mediocre boxing skills, and a lack of defense. He also lacks the one punch power necessary for his type of style to be successful for long. When he fights better competition, his propensity to just barrel forward, face-first is going to get him busted up badly unless he significantly improves his defense. He has nowhere near the talent of his father. The Charlo brothers have fought so infrequently the last several years that they are a little difficult to evaluate at this point. But, I still favor Charlo over Tszyu. And, the Jermell Charlo from a few years ago would stop any version of Tszyu that has fought to date.
Fundora vs Zoo would be a barn burner. Fundora could drown Zoo, dude has drowned everyone he’s fought. Does anyone think Fundora wouldn’t have beat Harrison?
His defense did look poor but I chalk that up to being a pressure fighter vs a guy with not a lot of power. Golovkin took shots to land shots of his own when he started with Abel Sanchez and then went of to have great defense against Canelo. Its not that GGG improved his defense, he had great defense before joining Abel Sanchez, he just did what he needed against low threat opponents to get the knockout. Jared Anderson looks to be doing the same thing.
You may be right. I just never like to see any fighter leave himself that wide open. It usually catches up to them in time. And, even these light punching fighters he's fought have usually marked his face up pretty good.
I reckon Tszyu would take his head off with one of those over hands. It's going down I'm yelling Timber.
While I agree with you on most points, I will say he looked much better against Harrison then his previous fight. I do agree that he is more of a banger that breaks guys down as opposed to being a true puncher like his father. I'm not so sure he beats Charlo but I do see him winning a belt at somepoint. I don't think he has the skill set for a long career but a decent one. A good counter puncher eats him alive. All that said, he smashes Fundora.
