As I said before and as I say again and again and again, Floyd lacks power.

Guzman was doing all the right things in the ring, but he didn't have the power to make a difference.

Really it was a stupid mistake by his management, but hey, the mother ****er has balls and I respect him. He's got immense tallent, although the ****in haters are gonna talk **** on him now.

But ya'll mother ****ers out there that think Floyd can use his one style against everyone are ****in blind, unless you watched this fight.

You see how a guy with solid boxing skills and height, AKA NOT CORALLES who has NO ****IN JAB, can give a little skilled man like Floyd trouble.

    BUT

When I say the Vernon Forrest that whupped Mosely would whup Floyd, I get laughed at.

You know who would really be laughin? Forrest when Mayweather tags him his hardest and it don't hurt.

That's why Floyd ain't Sugar Ray Robinson. Sugar Ray could carry his power and his balls up to the next class. He has no replacement.

    Yet Floyd is unbeatable...

Yeah, in this mother ****in era that may be true, cuz who fits that profile? MAYBE Paul Williams, but honestly I think he wings his punches too much...

But TRUST ME, Floyd will NEVER take a chance against Paul because Floyd is NOT a good aggressive fighter. And even if he did all the right things, I don't think he can hurt Paul.

But Paul also doesn't throw as straight as Funeka.

But ****, Floyd won't fight him...

Anyway, hope this gives ya'll some ****in insight...

Cuz some of you mother ****ers NEED it.

Guzman couldn't do **** to Funeka.

    I'm sorry...

That was a ****in robbery. Even the punch stats favored Funeka. How could you not score that fight for Funeka?

Like I said, Guzman was doing everythign right, but as soon as he found out he couldn't hurt his man, he was done.

I could tell he was done after the first round.

Funeka also has a nice jab. A great jab really. He's a real threat at lightweight.

Funeka came into the fight tonight as a Junior Middleweight. guzman made him look silly early. I think the nose and the cuts really bothered guzman, but he was soundly outboxed. Funeka really has no business at 135 at 6'1 154.

Guzman was going to lose whether his nose was broken or not. He got beat on both the inside and the outside, there is no way to win being a shorter fighter if you can't nullify the taller man's offense by getting in close and doing damage.

    Exactly.

It's about the same height disparity between Funeka and Guzman if not more.

    So what the problem is?

And if Paul makes Floyd fight his fight, which is essentially what Funeka did to Guzman, then Floyd has to make SERIOUS adjustments.

No WAY Guzman could have won the fight on the outside with Funeka.

    NO WAY.

That's why we've seen a side of Guzman we are RARELY if EVER accustomed to seeing because the only way he could win the fight was to get inside Funeka's jab and beat on volume.

    He just didn't do it.

Now Paul ain't Funeka and honestly Paul sometimes is prone to ****in up, but if he fights like he did in Quintana II and uses his boxing skills instead of applying dumb pressure, Floyd will be in a world of pain.

i would love to see the fight without the nasty cut caused by the headbutt. Good showing for Funeka though...man that guy is a beast at 135...coming in at 154 is a little unfair...but oh well...he made weight.

Felt bad for Guzman...he showed a lot of heart in that fight. If Floyd showed that kind of toughness, he would be scary.

I didn't see the fight but Paul is a freak of nature. As much as everyone is pining for for it, its not really a good matchup because of the size as you have stated.

Heck I retract my statement, Floyd is 5-6. No way he is 5-8.

What a great poster this Reaper guy is. Dude is spot on on everything he comments on in boxing. I remember he told me before the Kessler vs Ward fight that Kessler would have a tummy ache and that Ward would headbutt Kessler in the 1st round and win a robbery.

I should have listened to him. Now I know.

I mean, Hernandez, Corrales, Castillo, Gatti, Oscar, Baldomir, ect ect all smaller then FLoyd. I remember that Floyd was like 5'11 facing a 5'8 Corrales. Man what a mismatch. Floyd really needs to start proving himself.

Gosh reaper. What dont you know? When Quintana countered Paul Williams and beat him, you told me that Paul Williams was sick that day and ate too much burger king before the fight. I wish I would have listened to you.

I don't completely agree about Mayweather and Williams though.

Mayweather has fought and beat taller fights before (Corrales Hernandez N'Dou). Williams lost to a shorter fighter in Quintana.

However I think Williams would beat Mayweather not because of height but because of activity. Mayweather would try to slip and counter but I think he would get overwhelmed like Wright did. It's a bad style matchup for Floyd.

Man, shut the **** up about Corrales.

Corrales ain't got no mother ****er jab. THe mother ****ers walks straight into punches.

And besides, that was Floyd at 130 where he DID have power.

This ain't 130 anymore. This is 147 and FLOYD has LITTLE POWER.

Guzman walked into the ring at 149 lbs and I think Funeka was 152.
