No but I'd bet he is closer to 5'5 than 5'7. I'd bet Mayweather is closer to 5'7 than 5'8. Boxers heights are all pretty much inflated.

Yeah, but Guzman aint Floyd. A fight between Floyd and Williams was a dream anyway. That was never going to happen. Williams has the height to be fighting lightheavies. Why did he ever start at welter anyway. By the way he is every bit of 6'3.

Thats sports for ya. If they are a little short make them an inch or two taller. If they're too tall(for the division) make them an inch or so shorter. I have stood face to face with a few pro fighters and said to myself these measurements are wrong.

    Very, very well put.

The quintessential recent example of this was Cotto - Margarito. Margo did have a reach advantage also, but given his style that wasn't nearly as important as the fact that he was punching down and getting massive leverage on his shots, while Cotto simply wasn't.

I've thought for years that prime Vernon Forrest would have given Floyd hell, but I sure didn't need the Joan Guzman waste of talent show to convince me of this. Really, Guzman and Floyd have very, very little in common.

Floyd isnt unbeatable, Forrest has a good chance at beating him. Winky at 154 would with out a doubt in my mind beat him.

But currently today, i dont see anyone other than PW that could beat him. Someone like Cotto or Margo I dont see beating him.

Excellent Post! Floyd has been the smaller guy more times than he has been the bigger man.

This is a ****in ******ed post cuz you can't show me ONE guy on Floyd's resume who had Funeka like physical attributes and skills on his resume.

Floyd NEVER fought one tall educated jabber with good defense.

NOT ONE in his whole ****IN career.

    Why is this?

Floyd hasn't really ever faught an slick asian boxer or an middle eastern brawler either. What's the point? Floyd was fighting at 130 and moved up to 147! Which means on the way up Floyd faced bigger men and beat them. Sure his path can be viewed as the path of least resistance or minimal resistance but the way he dominated was exactly what would be expected given the kind of fighter Floyd is.

You tell me! How man TALL EDUCATED JABBERS with GOOD "D" were avialbe for Floyd aside from Diego whom he beat but didn't have a great Jab nor great "D".
