Interesting how this fight would play out as Funeka has the height and reach and Valero has power. Power beats weak chin but long effective jabs irritate smaller fighter with shorter reach. Valero KO 8
If I didn't believe it I wouldn't have typed it bro. Ed is a good fighter....so is Ali. I don't need to snide anyone b/c I don't have an agenda. Maybe you do which is why you are riding Ed so hard.....Look, I'm a believer of Ed Valero....but I call it like I see it. I'm not into all this dick riding **** you are on. You do you and I'mma do me. Keep riding bro.:rofl
I watched the fight with Demarco Nall.....and as expected I saw the techincal flaws that would get him eaten up by a boxer with a counter punching style or one that implements a solid jab and clean up hook. Ed is so confident in his power he falls into the bad habits that would put him at risk from a guy with more power than Demarco and one that has better accuracy with a jab. Fact!
Funeka is a very solid boxer with a lot of heart, so I think he will pull out the decision. Valero is not very fundamentally sound although he have very good power. Funeka would offset Valero's balance with his jabs and outside game.
I like both these guys individually, but I don't like the match-up. Personally, I'd like to see Valero fight someone his own height for the next one.
Right....Ali is by far a more technically soild boxer....one that will stay cool, calm and composed under the fire that Ed would present. The problem is that Ali will see everyting Ed has to offer coming b/c of his looping shots, power punches and lets face it....Ed isn't Floyd Jr or Manny PAC fast so he won't catch Ali sleeping so to speak. But given the fact Ed's power is REAL.....he always is dangerous which makes him even more exciting. He just needs to improve on his defense and show a more intelligent offesne......set up his shots a bit more. He needs to go to the body a little more consistantly instead of head hunting all the time.
If Ali can establish his jab early I could see him outboxing Valero. If he can't it will be lights out for him.
The one thing I liked about Valero was his punching distance it reminded me of Pac! He stays at the end of his arms reach so that he can get off maximum punching power!!!
