Broken nose or not......Joan just ain't the kind of boxer many felt he was. He's flashy with talent but fails to utilize the attributes he does have. I said Ali would knock Guzzy out but he did put a beating on him.

Ali always starts a bit slow unless his opponent gives him an opening....but otherwise Ali is calculated and progresses as the fight wears on. I didn't give Guzzy much of a chance considering he doens't have a puncher's chance. It was bad decision to go up against Ali when Joan needed a win.

No ****in clue...:huh Honestly Joan impressed me too with the early rounds. That was NOT his usually style and could have done well if he stuck to it.....but you don't change your style overnight. That low crouching, with a lot of head movment was giving Ali some trouble in finding his mark and the counter hooks were landing on Ali.....but I figured the jab would start to do it's job and when the blood began to flow I knew Joan was going to go back to his usual style. it's a cute, flashy style but with a guy with the reach and height of Ali and who is solid technically....I didn't see Joan having much of a chance.

 

He was fighting a 6'1 fighter with a solid jab and he was forced to fight in a way hes not used to.
I know the robbery was disgusting but to say Guzman is not good is ******ed.

 

Even though Guzman should have loss, he still looked like a world class fighter. I mean he was fighting a guy 6in taller. Who else at 135 is going to have those kind of daunting physical attributes.

 

Guzzy is good.....just not as good as many felt he was. I've been trying to let everyone know that Ali was gonna whoop Joan from the time this fight was announced and no one wanted to take my word. Joan was a lot of wasted talent and Hype that was due to his flashy style.

 

Guzman's an elite fighter he just hadn't fought in a year. Add the busted nose and you have a poor performance. This doesn't mean he is overrated or anything, he had a bad night after long lay-off. It Happens, especially against a guy as weird as Funeka. His last real opponent was two years ago.

 

Funeka "RUSH HOUR" iz a mofo beast. Heart, talent, power, workrate & RANGE (6'0"). Joan had da skill, but lacked workrate, power nd a solid gameplan 2 beat da South African.
