I said it before, and I say it again.

The Vernon Forrest that beat Mosley would beat Floyd. Floyd ain't got the power to hurt Forrest and he is not a good aggressive fighter.

He would beat Floyd probably worse than Funeka beat Guzman.

Forrest and Funeka are very very different fom each other. Forrest is a smart boxer that picks his punches and Funeka throws tons of punches and brawls alot.

Guzman isnt as smart as Floyd and is more wild. Plus I think if it wasnt for Guzman's nose(which I'm pretty sure is broke) I think he beats Funeka.

Honestly, I think a prime Forrest would have beat this or any version of Mayweather. I still stick to it.

    Man, BULL****.

Guzman ain't GOT POWER. He did EVERYTHING right, but he couldn't HURT Funeka.

And Funeka has a great jab. Forrest has a great jab.

The mother ****ers DO have similiar styles, but you're right in the sense that Forrest is more REFINED.

And Floyd ain't got the power to hurt Forrest, and Guzman could NOT win the fight on the outside, that's why he was FORCED to be the aggressor.

****, Funeka would have picked his ass apart from the outside.

Just like guys like Tommy Hearns and Vernon Forrest would pick Mayweather's ass apart from the outside.

Add SRR and SRL to that list as well.

Now keep in mind, the mother ****er's I mentioned are good boxers, but still....

Styles make fights, and Mayweather hasn't even really shown he can fight real well bein the aggressor, and it's common knowledge that he lacks power at welter.

I too noticed that Guzman seemed way out of his element by being forced to fight inside. It was simply impossible for him, despite his undoubted skills, to win an outside jabbing contest against someone of Funeka's dimensions.

Funeka is the LW version of Paul Williams and poses a serious problem to anyone there.

1 - Guzman was hurting Funeka early.
2 -So Funeka-Guzman shows that Forrest beats Mayweather? Get the **** outta here. I'm comfortable with you saying a prime Forrest would beat Mayweather, but don't use a completely irrelevant fight to make your point.

First of all, you don't gotta lie to make a point.

Guzman was NOT hurting Funeka. What makes you even think this. I mean there is no ****in evidence at all. Guzman was landin right hooks almost at will in the first few rounds and it wasn't doin **** to Funeka who wasn't even flinching.

I mean, **** if that were true don't you think Funeka would have adjusted his game plan.

And this isn't an irrellevant fight because it shows a guy who is VERY similiar to Mayweather in his style and athleticism, combined with the fact that both lack power at their divisions, (Guzman a bit more, but he's also a better at being the aggressor), and they both went against a tall skilled boxer with size.

Forrest is even better than Funeka.

So that's why I mentioned this fight because people need to see that Floyd is NOT invincible. There are people that can beat him. If Guzman would have played defense the entire night, he would have been stopped and wouldn't have landed ****.

Same thing with Mayweather agianst Forrest, and honestly Floyd looks more outta his element coming foward than Guzman does, who in my opinion was doing almost everything right, but he just lacked the power to capitalize and gain his opponents respect.

Like I said, Power is seriously underrated on this site.
