I'll get the ball rolling one that always cracks be up is when larry Holmes was fighting (i Think about 1980) Don king was introduced to the crowd and they all started booing.

And larry joined in with them even though he was his promoter at the time.:good

Another one Archie moore was fighting some guy (cant remember who) and was knocked down twice and his corner was going to stop the fight and he disagreed so his corner said to him to wave to his wife to prove he was alright. The thing was that his wife was sitting directly behind the guy that he was fighting.

So the guy that knocked who knocked him down twice was thinking that this was going to be easy and then old archie is sitting facing him and waving at him after being knocked down twice. lol

Another one from earnie shavers book welcome to the big time. Earnie is fighting (think it was the Ali-Berbick undercard) and the guy knocks earnie down in the opening round and is all over him on the verge of a knockout. Round 2 starts and in the clinch earnie says to the young prospect ''take your time were on the tv''. So the prospect starts to take his time . Round 5 earnie knocks the kid out .lol

This amusing thing happened to me in 1940 when I was very young ,but still never forgot. My dad and uncle took me to the Golden Gloves bouts in Ridgewood Grove.A young Ray Robinson ,who was soon turning pro, but was considered a sure champion
to come..Robinson was in the corner helping the Salem-Crescent boxers..After the last bout ,several people including me,my dad and uncle, waited to shake Ray's hand...
The guy in front of me said," Ray, when you become champ, buy me a drink, ",
and Robinson said ,while shaking the guys hand, "when I do, I'll buy you Two ".
The first rap music uttered by a boxer, and I heard it from Ray Robinson.True story.....

More of a funny little quote than story but in 1958 Basilio had a rematch with Robinson after their first Great match and as many of us know Basilio's eye had swollen to the size of a baseball and at the end of the 14th(I believe it was may of been earlier) Basilio's corner said basically to him we gotta stop it your eye is very bad and Basilio quoted to them "if you stop this fight you better have some way to get out of town before I get up off this stool" hahahaha.
