Not here to argue about the fight. I thought we got 2 elite boxers going at each other for title supremacy and it was scored how it was scored. But I, like most fight fans, tends to think that compubox is a garbage tool that people use for arguments in fights. And it’s just so clearly wrong so often that I think in a perfect world, it’s ditched all together. For those that have rewatched the fight, at the end of the 2nd round they show a slow motion replay of an exchange. Loma lands kind of a partially blocked, partially lander body shot to the left side of Haney’s ribs. Haney lands flush on Loma’s body, and Loma counters with a clean, but light in comparison jab to the center of Haney’s gut. 45 seconds later, the compubox counter comes up. Body shots. Loma: 0-15. please, for the love of all that is good, please stop using compubox in your arguments. It often counts feints and probes as punches thrown. It doesn’t account for many blocked shots (especially in mma), and it’s rarely if ever close to correct.
Compubox had Tank outlanding Hector Luis Garcia 2-1 and only had Hector landing 4 jabs. Probably the most egregious fake stats I've seen from compubox.
I can say this much. Fight was close and no clear winner can be determined. No how I know this. A slow motion video breakdown of punches hasn't been posted. Normally one would be out if there was definitive evidence showing a clear cut winner. Fight was close. No robbery.
CompuBox could be a good tool when the fights are close, but just to help a judge in his decision. The problem is that CompuBox is not guaranteed to be more accurate than what the judges see.
