I hear some people bash Wilder for knocking out 24 bums in a row.

    People **** talking Joshua (who's only 22).

    Wilder is 26 years old, 24-0 24 KO'S.

This Pulev is almost an OLD MAN already at age 32, his career is over. By the time he's ready to 'step up' in competition he will be 36 :lol::lol:

Deontay receives a lot of unfair criticism. At this point in his career half the euro's people are hyping up over him weren't even pros at his age and if they were they were fighting guys the level of what Wilder has been facing or worse. Deontay had a limited am career so had to learn as a pro and he's heading in the right direction as far as opposition. As long as he keeps fighting steppping up to better opposition each time out from here on I'm happy with how he's developing and think he'll be a major player in the future HW landscape.

I've never understood why these eastern euros go pro so late in age.

thread went right over your head didn't it?

Pulev is 31 dude, when he was Wilders age he wasn't even a pro let a lone fighting the type of pros Wilder has been fighting.

Wilder at 26 is eons ahead of where Pulev was at the same age despite having significantly less am experience (and still qualifying and winning an olympic medal which Pulev couldn't pull of) and learning as he goes as a pro. If Wilder still hasn't established himself as a legit contender by the age of 31 then we can talk about Pulev being less protected until then Pulev is the more protected fighter.

That's not what protected means, otherwise Gamboa and Rigo are more protected than Canelo. Pulev has been moved fast as a pro, not protected at all. Wilder is usually a 100-1 favorite, hasn't fought anyone ranked top 100 = protected. But nothing wrong with that as long as he's not hogging a belt or tv dates.

    Pulev's extensive international amateur boxing experience is why he has been moved along quickly. He hasn't been a professional long but victories over these opponents mean more than victories over debuting opponents or out-and-out tomato cans;

    Derric Rossy
    Paolo Vidoz
    Matt Skelton
    Travis Walker
    Michael Sprott
    Alexander Dmitrenko
    Dominic Guinn

and he's scheduled to fight Ustinov so that's two contender level opponents Dmitrenko and Ustinov and some solid names like Vidoz, Walker and Sprott.

I don't blame Wilder's management for moving him slowly because he doesn't have the extensive amateur background like Pulev. Vladimir Klitschko wasn't moved at a particular rapid pace either. People forget that despite Klitschko's gold medal in the Olympics, he was only 19 years old. I do believe that it is approaching time for Wilder to step up and he will start fighting more difficult opponents but we have to remember some of those "name" or "contenders" are positioned in the ratings to be eligible for a title fight and risking their position for a prospect looking to make his way into the upper rankings is not going to be something they're willing to do.

Pulev fought Matt Skelton in his 6th fight. It's debatable whether Wilder has reached that level yet.

Be honest. You just want to see Wilder step up far enough so he can lose. And most of you won't be satisfied until it happens.
