For one, the size difference is no way near the same. Floyd and Marquez both came 2 - 3lbs apart in weight come fight night, it's only Mayweather's body was better used to welterweight.

Secondly, Mayweather never used his size to defeat Marquez. In fact, Marquez was the agressor when they fought. The fight between Marquez vs Mayweather was purely a battle of skills against two exceptional technicians with one being significantly better than the other.

Man, how pathetic are boxing fans these days...

SRR fought Maxim at LHW. Duran fought Leonard, Hearns, and Hagler. SRL fought Hagler. ODH fought Hopkins. Trinidad fought Hopkins. Paz fought Roy Jones. Roy Jones fought John Ruiz. Pacquiao fought Margarito. Martinez fought Chavez Jr.

Boxing history has shown that the greats have fought and beaten bigger men. But nowadays people are crying because Canelo, a champion at 154lbs, is to big for Mayweather who is also a champion at 154lbs. Jesus christ.

    i know there nothing alike!!

Maquez was coming up 2 weight classes and had never fought there before.

Floyd is only coming up one weight class, and has fought there twice before.

And Canelo is a boxer/counter puncher too, so i don't get your other point either.

In fact this whole thread is a fail.

canelo should agree to a catch weight, then just weigh in at the full 154. What would floyd be able to even say after what that ***** did to marquez

Look at the fighters I mentioned. Tell me where they started their careers at and at what weight they ended up at. Thanks.

If you did a little research you'd know that was a dumb and pointless argument.

SRR started at lightweight, but was regard as the GOAT for a reason
Duran is a consensus top 8 atg
    SRL started at LWW
ODH started at 135 and lost to Hopkins and Sturm
    Trinidad was a bigass WW
Paz got his ass whooped by Roy Jones
    Roy Jones was impressive
Pacquiao won got titles in his last 2 weight classes at catchweights
    Martinez started at WW

And Floyd is the self proclaimed greatest of all time but is to small to fight another belt holder in the same weight class. Win or lose, good-great fighters have had to take on bigger men. Let's see, Paz had the balls to take on Jones Jr, but nowadays Mayweather is to small for Canelo. Got you.

He fought there twice and got a belt. If he is too small for that division then he should make a statement and not fight there anymore.
