Did you ask Roy Jones to fight Lennox Lewis too. He was a fellow belt holder. And I'm in no way saying Floyd shouldn't fight Canelo. I do want the fight at 154 and think it'll happen, but some of the arguments yall are making is clownish.

Why do you act like Floyd has never fought guys bigger than him

I agree. I think it's a non issue though, and that he'll fight Canelo at 154.

Course Vinny took his chances against Roy Jones, he had accumulated five losses by that point. He had nothing to lose!

You do realise Jones had already fought someone with 30 pounds above him and 4 weight classes above his prime weight. Jones also tried to make fights with Tyson and Lewis. Do some research. But of course these days, big, bad Canelo is to big and mean for poor little Floyd who has been fighting at WW for 8 damn years.

I don't care about Jones fighting Lewis. Nobody blames him for not fighting him, but it's the same argument you make for Floyd (oh, but he's a fellow titlist).

and stop trying to put words in my mouth when I'm on record multiple times saying I want Floyd to fight Canelo. And Roy wasn't about to fight fricken Lennox Lewis and he shouldn't be obligated too

So now Floyd fighting Canelo is the same as Jones Jr fighting Lennox Lewis. You honestly believe that? And do some research, Jones actually wanted to take on Lewis. Jones fighting any ranked heavyweight was him fighting men who were naturally 50 pounds bigger then him. I want Floyd to fight a champion in a weight class he is champion at.

You know this how? There was no official fight night weigh in.

no it's not the same scenario, but that's the argument you're making. Jones has a belt there, so why can't he fight Lewis?

and can you show me where Jones challegned Lewis. I found an article where Lewis challenged him. Can you help me out

Because assuming Marquez weighed 147-148, which is reasonable considering he weighed 145 when he was cutting at LW.

Considering the biggest Fliyd has ever unofficially weighed in on fight night is 150.

Its logical to state that there was only a few pounds in the difference.

Yeah, not like five inches in reach did anything, or the forearm use and muscling and clinching of Marquez anytime he got inside.

It's not the number of the weight that matters, it's the quality of the weight. Floyd would be just as quick at 154, something JMM could not achieve at 147.

Besides, they could fight at a catch-weight, or have a rehydration clause, and Canelo could honor it and sweat every last pound.
