When he knows GGG was mandated to fight daniel jacobs if GGG does not fight him he could be stripped of the title

All a sudden saunders is talking big now when he knows GGG will have to fight jacobs what happen to him when k2 offered him 2 mill for the fight?

apparently he wants the same deal now

It's the way almost every single callout of Golovkin went. He already signed a fight or has a mandatory to take care of, and suddenly every possible opponent turns brave. When he's free to fight, suddenly money demands go trough the roof or changed to "sometime, but not now"

In this case though I actually think Saunders wants it now, because he won't make much for fighting his mandatory and he's in no way certain to come out victorious against him. That would lose him the jackpot that the WBO MW strap represents atm.

So when IS BJS gonna announce his opponent for October? It's already turning out to be a joke fight as the opppnent will only get a 4 week training camp.

Yep. It looks like he has successfully made his bargaining power with GBP weaker and that's all - if not GGG then he will have to beg Oscar after the stunt he pulled. I wonder what split Oscar would offer him - if Oscar reckons Canelo/GGG 90/10 is a fair offer then Canelo/Saunders should be 99-1.

He always said he would fight GGG 2017 or 2018 after GGG showed signs of aging and slowing down. He's also been on record as saying that he'd fight GGG anytime but they'd need to back a truck full of money up to his door. This corresponds with both. GGG didn't look as good in his last fight against Brook. And Brook made like 5-8 million dollars with the British pay per view money. Saunders probably feels like if he can earn that much, then it would be worth it to risk getting knocked out and lose his belt.

Brook gassed everyone up! Golovkin is still a great boxer, don't think we saw enough from that fight to think otherwise because in my opinion, he didn't really take Brook's power seriously (regardless of whether he did temporarily get stunned) so he was just up for a pub fight! Doubt he'd do that with a Eubank etc if he really felt they had recognisable power so he'd show his boxing skills and do what he normally does! That being said...glad we're hopefully now going to get some good middleweight fights!!!!

he doesn't appear to want to fight anyone, unless they drop a truckload of money at his door. he can't believe in his chances against any top fighter. guess it is the gypsy way, the fury's are huge duckers too.

To be fair to BJS, in an interview during the CEJ drama a few months ago, he made it clear that for the paycheck being mentioned he's ready to fight GGG. I don't think he's using the Jacobs fight as an excuse - I think he's interested and he's lust confirming he's willing to do it. GGG also stated he wants the unification bout and the PPV numbers speak for the fight, so it is a very realistic scenario for early next year.

He called out Golovkin the day after the fight, 9/11. Jacobs was mandated 9/13 (but was already mandatory anyway, remember?)
