Whats wrong guys? Come on! Keep calling him a coward, overrated, protected, prima donna! I knew you'd all come back around to reality :yep
People are saying he needs to fight somebody, which he hasn't done in a long time, and took a big step away from doing it by signing with an org who had no other talent when he signed. This isn't a personal attack, but its also not reasonably deniable at this point.
The hating is just an opinion. The FACT is he isn't fighting Couture and thats the best fight out there. That is hard for any fan to accept. So early in its legacy we see MMA going down the same route as boxing. Fights not being made, orgs splitting fighters, guys complaining about money etc
Don't blame Fedor.. Blame Dana! He's the one that had all the chips in his hands, Fedor had one card and played it.. If Dana weren't such a greedy *******, I'm sure Fedor would have become part of the UFC..
I am a huge Fedor fan. I don't think that ANY true MMA fan, or any true Fedor fan could possibly NOT be frustrated with Fedor and his management right now. The man is in the prime is his career and is the time is just rolling on past with nothing worthwhile going on. His career is now just wasting away while the rest of MMA is exploding.
The entire world of MMA has been in somewhat turmoil after the acquisition of Pride. He had contract issues, who knows what other factors have come to pass. But as of right now, the possibility of some big fights did not end with him not signing with the UFC, this we now know. Couture could possibly go to M-1 and Arona already has.
That is NOT the best fight out there, Alowski and burnett are way better fights than couture, but none of them can beat Fedor and thats a FACT:good
Couture beat a good champ in Sylvia. An upset. Then he beat a young guy who dominated Cro. Another upset. This isn't even including that he is 45, former champ, loved, blah blah blah. Couture v Fedor is the biggest fight. Period.
I don't know who Alowski is, and Mikey Burnett, desipte being a nice guy, would be far too small at 170. Run along.
I give Couture credit for beating Gonzaga, but Sylvia? Sylvia was a prime example of how bad the UFC's heavyweight division was. The fact that Couture dominated him so thoroughly should be proof enough. Why else was everybody so glad to see him go? As far as Coutue being the biggest fight, I know that it would be the biggest fight in the United States, but I don't know if I could say the same for Europe or Japan.
