Funny overhyped fighters in retrospect.

And Exactly who was I wrong about ?

 

Come on man, I'm.not saying Hatton was dog meat or anything, but people were seriously putting him on P4P lists back in 08.....thats the very definition of overrating

Hatton best wins:

#1. Foul fest against an aging, semi retired Tyzu

#2. KO of a shell of JC Castillo

#3. KO of Carlos Masuoa, which was actually a pretty decent win, ill give him credit

Completely avoided Junior Witter, as well as Tim Bradley and Devon Alexander

 

Hatton was facing Floyd Mayweather at WW when both Bradley and Alexander were still up and coming contenders at 140.

 

For a time he was really getting a push as "Wlad's next real threat".

 

Well he had a well publicized died going on with Whittier at the time he split and went to.welter, and theres nothing wrong with giving title shots to undefeated up and coming contenders

 

No one cared about Junior Witter. Not even you. He's just a tool for you to use against Hatton whom you hate for some reason.

At the time, even SHO wasn't interested in him for stinking out the joint versus Judah when he had a chance on network TV.

 

Dawg, who said anything about hating Hatton? I even give him props for his good wins! He was just extremely over hyped and overated and never belonged anywhere near a p4p ranking

OK, fair enough.

 

Think he regressed by the time he hit america. Between that, him fighting twice above his weight category against mayweather and collazo and the level of opponent going up he never really looked as good by the time he got to america. Think he had a cold in another fight he had when he was prime time in america. Cant remember the guys name. With all that he kind of did fail to shine. Coming through in britain tho he was great to watch before he started grabbing and holding a bit too much. I still say he put up a decent challenge against mayweather in retrospect when we see the challenge guys like guerrero, marquez etc put up. Yeah he ended up getting knocked out.. .but he never really got completely shut down like the other 2 did from pretty much early on. He just got punished for going all in. Gave mayweather some trouble with his footspeed.

 

Yeah he made an interesting fight of it at least, and did force Mayweather to fight harder than usual

 

Jeff Horn what a total friggin bum he is and I knew it from day one.
