As most if not all already know Ed Sullivan was a sports journo going all the way back to the 1920s and going forward from then - he certainly knew his stuff re boxing and I really appreciate the respect he displays toward Liston. Anyway, sure, Sonny had his oversized boxing gloves but we know that Ed himself had a really big shoe, so big that he could even fit the whole of Sonny into it. That’s pretty whack isn’t it?
