I think you missed the part where DLH hadn't fought at WW for nearly ten yrs, looked like **** against Forbes, and was old. Dawson was or still is the best in his division, still young, and has good defense which Ward picked apart. Pac vs. DLH was about MONEY and fame, not legacy. In Pac's defense, he needed that win over Oscar in order to break into mainstream. It doesn't do much when determining Pac's ATG status.
But in the Pac case he had to moved up two weights, was set up to lose and get destroyed. It was considered a circus act . If it wasn't a mismatch in Hoya favor, this thing would have done 2mills plus PPV. Ward on the other hand was favor to win this.
Actually 7 years, one more than Chad's last time at 168. But DLH was an elite welter, Chad did nothing at 168. DLH had just won 4 rounds off p4p Floyd. He fought Forbes at 150. Who knows how Dawson would have looked had he tried 171 first. He should have, would have been less of a shock to his body
Only a ****** like you would think that Hoya hasn't fought at welter for like 10 years . It's been 7 years dummy...and Dawson hasn't fought at 168 for like 6 years. And don't try to come up with that **** too, Pac was set up to get destroyed by Oscar.
Do you understand how percentages work? A 175 fighter losing 7 or 8 pounds is much easier then a 154 or 147 fighter losing the same weight...
i like how *******s make every good up and coming Black american fighter that's getting buzz their new targets on ESB. first Broner, now Ward. what happened to Floyd being your #1 enemy?
Dawson's a young man that fullly rehydrated @ his usual fight night weight. DLH was near retirement and couldn't even rehydrate because of old age . dude was on an IV and literally almost dead.
yes he did wanna do down to 147..but thought cotto would beat tony and did not want to fight tony, cherry picked manny and got what he deserved
but these fights cant be compared ....glad oscar got dominated but dude rehydrated what 3 pounds?and had a iv in his arm before the fight....dawson came in the same weight he always does at 185 and was the bigger man,the lineal champ at 175 and these 2 were the best fighting the best...oscar was irrelevant when manny fought him and was a cherry pick gone wrong
at the end of the day, pac was a clear underdog and was jumping 2 divisions after just one fight at 135 for the hoya fight. pac was supposed to be destroyed and *****s think now that it was a **** win while ward was a great one.
You missed the entire point *******.atsch This guy is horrible at arguing points. He doesn't know the correct information to form anything valid. He just shoots whatever comes to his mind; funny person.LMFAO.:rofl:rofl
