He is beyond ***an now and O'Donnell is to far. Honestly i think O'donnell beats him.

also a fight for the irish title, in england, between two fighters who have had only 1 fight in ireland between then would be pretty sad.

I think John O has bigger fish to fry and I dont think Ois is allowed fight by his new employer - maybe he can talk them around though!

O'Donnell has fought in Ireland twice and Frankie once.

Plenty of Irish title fights have happening in England - not much of an Irish I dont think.

If Funtime qualifies to fight for this title because of his Mum and Dad been Irish then so be it...:yep

It's a strap and he is appealing to the wider audience in building his career towards the World Title...:yep

Its a decent title for this early in his career, Jamie Moore won it not too long back aswell remember, ultimately gives it credibility imo.

Think John O'Donnel is beyond irish title level now and doubt they'd put Gavin in with him so early, he's a tricky customer.

If Frankie wins the title it could open a lot of exposure over here for him. Also it could lead to Warren doing a card over here with Gavin and Spike and Ormond on a bill in Ireland with 2 of the said defending there titles here.
As for a fight with Dean Byrne that would be a huge test for Gavin at this stage but I feel they could well match up in the coming years.

Personally I don't care if he fights for a title or not at this stage.... as long as he's matched against a good fighter for this stage in his career then I don't mind. Shame about Woodhouse but what can you do?

For all his technical excellence, does anyone else find it hard to get that excited about Gavin?

    nope.

I am sure some UFC or WWF fans might not appreciate his silky skills but I do.

No. He has a better KO ratio than all the other gang of up and comers like DeGale, Saunders, Jeffries, Groves, Price etc. so far, what's wrong with you?

frankie is good but with his eyes getting scar tissue so early in his career is something to worry about. lets hope it doesn't hinder him later in his career
