Further proof Haye is plain greedy?

Or... just have the fight where it makes sense for everyone, in either England or Germany.

 

I'd be surprised if Haye made a decent living from boxing up until he fought Mormeck. He has every right to get any money he can if he plans to retire this year, especially as every fight at this weight could be his last.

No-one calls the Klits greedy for being paid millions to fight tomato cans all these years. . .

 

It seems the UK fans dont mind getting milked like the teets of a goat from Haye. That "display" by Audley was perhaps the worst title attempt I have ever seen. Not to mention Haye vs Valuev was the most boring title fight I have ever witnessed. Yes, it was worse than Wlad/sultan.

If you call fighting the best available opposition available tomato cans I can only assume "you dont know **** about boxing". Feel free to comment about how weak the division is etc. But, the Klits havent ducked anyone and have fought the best available opposition. Whenever you have a dominate champion everyone else looks bad. This was true for Louis, Holmes and Tyson. Only when weaker titlists hold multiple belts is when people feel the scene is balanced.

Dunno, My barber doesnt know anything about boxing. But, he knows a few names. Pacquaio, Mayweather and the klitschkos.

Just because the USA fans are ignorant to the world scene doesnt mean these guys arent popular worldwide.

 

The majority of boxers are the same. Even the Klitschko's in fact. The reason they don't fight in America is because they won't make as much money, which is the same reason why Haye won't fight there.

Your barber knows Mayweather and Pacquiao, obviously the big names. But I don't think we should label Haye greedy for not fighting in the United States instead of a bigger market like England who knows him.

 

You think Sergio Martinez, Joshua Clottey, or Manny Pacquiao would make as much in their home countries? The thing with Haye and Klitschkos is that they appeal to Europeans and Americans don't know them.

 

Exactly.

What the basic criticism here is, is that Haye is greedy because he's fighting in a country where he makes the most money. Which boxers don't do that? Even the likes of Winky Wright, when he was fighting in Europe, did so because that's what made the most sense financially. Guys like Pacquiao could make a lot of money in their home country but there's a reason they aren't fighting there.

Should we also fault Mayweather because he's yet to fight in Portugal, the greedy ****?

 

V Klit did kick some ass at the staple center and but on a really good show vs Taco Bell Chris Areolla. Wlad vs Peter was too. But Wlad vs Iggy was a horriable fight and was bad for Wlad. And killed his American Peoples.

Haye is just a joke until he fights and beats a real HW contender.

Americans don't know about Haye because he hasn't had a fight promoted here.
