All we are asking for here, is for the best to face the best.

Other sports have no problem with that rule, because despite the politics there is some form of accountability at play and rules that everyone respects (with the exception of PEDs).

Boxing as a sport, and the fans, need to demand that the best face the best always, and not accept this BS.

 

The only folk who believe they’ll put the chinny robot back in with the guy who just sonned him and made him quit in his first fight outside his backyard, are those sporting a match room scarf and a sky season ticket.

My call immediately after the fight was someone like Allen/chisora and I’m sticking to that.

 

Ortiz gave Wilder a really tough fight just 15 months ago, so the rematch could be interesting, no ?

I think I've missed Ortiz's subsequent fights so I'm not sure what he's been looking like since.
Still, gotta be an improvement on Breazeale.

 

I think it will be. Wilder to stop him late again though imo.

Even if Ortiz has declined in the meantime, he's got to still be a clear level better than everyone that Wilder has ever beat !
He is, after all, about the only good heavyweight Wilder has on his win column.

 

Sure, but we all pretty much agreed Joshua was beating Ruiz too.

 

Davison said Schwarz was picked for his height. So they will likely stick to the plan of fighting guys who are 6'5. Likely with padded records who don't pose a big threat before the Wilder fight. Maybe someone like Otto Wallin.

 

Easy fight with someone past their best so as not to risk the value of the Wilder rematch

I'd be down with a Pulev fight, he's a legit opponent. Be surprised if it's him though.

 

Kubrat Pulev would be okay. Pulev is legit top 10.

Jarrell Miller's a bum but I'd enjoy watching Fury shut him down and shut him up.
