If Fury wanted 70% of a huge pile of money to fight 2 belt unbeaten world champion Usyk god knows how much he offered Ruiz Jr
Hmm, a cynic might say that Fury knew all along that Joyce would activate his rematch clause. And that this was just being thrown out there to make it look like he wants dangerous fights without actually having to commit to one. Now with the noise around Ruiz wanting too much this is all set up to be a "we tried but Ngannou was the biggest and toughest fight we could make"
There’s no way Warren didn’t know Joyce was intending to trigger the rematch clause IMO. It’s all smoke and mirrors with Fury, I struggled to picture him fighting Ruiz as well.
I also wonder whether certain A-side boxers rush opponents into a date that times it just right so that they can go through their special supplement cycle but the opponent hasn't got time to do theirs? But of course that would never happen...
This content is protected Disappointing. If Fury Usyk happens in December though then it's fine. Also big blow for Frank Warren who will miss out on a Fury fight in the summer as well as Usyk Dubois.
Very disappointing and far from fine having faced no real challenge for his belts from the Wilder fight on 9 October 2021 to December 2023. Disgraceful that he is allowed to get away with only fighting 2 very low risk fights against very mediocre British Level opponents in 26 months. He has not been the only one over the years and time these Champions were stripped of titles for ducking real challenges.
So if Fury doesn’t fight until December then his only fight between April 22 and December 23 over a 20 month period will be against Chisora. Strip him and get the division moving.
Even though the dates of his fights are a few seconds away to search, you post this nonsense: October 2021 - Wilder III April 2022 - Whyte December 2022 - Chisora III So the 20-month period time ends soon. Not good (should've taken somebody else instead of Chisora), for sure, but the other champion is even worse, but Usyk-attracted *retins like spravedlivylev avoid even mentioning his activity, they rely only on Fury's one, trapped by their fake knight.
Even many of us Fury fans are sick of him after a clear duck of Usyk on the back of a Joshua duck in Dec. Looks to me that becoming a multi-millionaire really knocks the hunger and fight right out of fighting men. What a legacy he could have left in the sport taking and winning those 2 winnable fights then retiring undefeated.
I can understand if Fury politely says no thanks to a summer fight in relation to all the money potentially waiting in December.
As much as I'd love to watch Fury v Usyk and Fury vs Joshua part of me hopes he never fights either. The greedy clown doesn't deserve the paydays
That’s what’s so frustrating, beating Usyk and AJ, and with the Wilder win, he’s pretty much cleaned out the division. There was no need to get in the ring with Whyte and Chisora - does zero for his legacy
